The Battle Opener is a small Michigan business in Metro Detroit, owned and operated by Dan Erickson.
A Michigan native, Dan earned his Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Michigan Tech University in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, who’s small towns and self-sufficient spirit inspired a lifelong penchant for making and the dream to someday start a business.
In 2025, a layoff served as the opportunity to realize that dream.
Today, The Battle Opener provides 3D design and printing services, along with bespoke office and home accessories, board- and tabletop gaming accessories, and whatever else solves a problem or fills a niche.
